Handcrafted with traditional joinery, our work is influenced by a mixture of Scandinavian and Shaker design showcasing clean lines, subtle curves and exposed joinery as we seek to highlight the form and figure of natural wood. Our furniture is produced exclusively from reclaimed or sustainable North American Hardwoods and finished with a natural, plant-based, VOC-free, hard-wax oil. We’re proud to call Chattanooga, TN home.

We enjoy building custom pieces. Let us know what you need and we'll do the rest. We ask for a 50% deposit for all custom requests - the remaining balance & freight if necessary are charged upon completion.

CARTER ELLIS
Carter comes from a background in hospitality and community development and built his first table to host friends and neighbors, desiring a place where all might experience welcome. While he now builds more than just tables, the theme of that first piece is at the heart of the company. Ellis Table strives to make all of their pieces in a way that encourages community. From the way their shop is a home for collaboration with other makers and artisans to their focus on furniture that inspires and facilitates life together. Carter’s style is influenced by Scandinavian and Shaker design. While different in aesthetic they both support clean lines, strong and traditional joinery, and a simplicity of form that highlights skilled craftsmanship.
